Eagle Rugby fosters a sense of camaraderie through three dedicated teams:

White (Freshman)
Nurturing the talents of our future stars.
Eagle Rugby offers two distinct seasons:
Fall Season
Sevens rugby is a fast-paced and exhilarating variant of rugby, played with only seven players on each team. The game is renowned for its dynamic, open style of play, characterized by quick passes, explosive sprints, and strategic teamwork. Sevens matches consist of two halves, each lasting seven minutes, creating a condensed and action-packed experience.
Spring Season
Fifteens rugby is the traditional and more widely played form of rugby. Each team comprises 15 players on the field, divided into forwards and backs. Fifteens matches are played over two halves, lasting 35 minutes each, with additional time for stoppages. This format allows for a more nuanced and strategic approach to the game, emphasizing teamwork, specialized positions, and a balance between forwards and backs. Spring season is the primary season for the St. Edward Eagles.

Charting Paths to Collegiate Success:
Rugby is growing in popularity in the United States, and many colleges and universities have rugby programs. Opportunities for talented players to receive financial assistance in college are on the rise. Each year, several St. Edward players continue their rugby careers at the collegiate level, some with full athletic scholarships.
